Benefits to be gained from installing a Building Management System include:

Save Energy & Money
State of the art controls ensure that the plant operates at peak efficiency and only when needed. Energy savings can be achieved while Improving reliability. Where buildings are submetered, a system can automatically monitor and record the energy use of individual areas enabling area specific billing.

Improve Conditions
Building Management Systems provide the flexibility to cope with continually changing needs of building users. Occupant satisfaction can be achieved with BMS by having a tighter control over the environment and comfort conditions. Problem areas can be identified by the BMS operator and changes made accordingly.

Multi-Functioning
A BMS can be used to provide security by expanding it to incorporate all standard security, fire detection and alarm systems.

Environmentally Friendly
By improving control over building services, a BMS will reduce CO2 and SO2 emissions and help conserve the world’s energy resources and water supplies.

Our number should be the first you call if you are looking for competent and government regulations compliant engineers to Design your BMS System.

Building Management System (BMS) is a computer based system providing the facility to control monitor and manage any building service. It works by using intelligent standalone controllers to accurately control plants such as boilers, pumps, fans, lights, Access Control and security systems in response to changing conditions such as time, temperature and light levels. HVAC an acronym for: Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning is a climate control system that is often a fundamental requirement in many BMS Systems installed by our engineers. BMS systems in larger buildings or multi site plants utilise a central monitoring station from where an operator can look at what is happening at each outstation and make adjustments to improve conditions or change parameters. The outstations ‘communicate’ through dedicated cables or via an internet protocol address.

We are Approved
Part ‘L’ of the Building Regulations, introduced by government, is a requirement concerning the energy efficiency of all new and existing buildings, including their fixed building services. The amended Part ‘L’ came into force in April 2006 and we are proud to be compliant.
